James Aquino, PT, DPT
Owner
Dr. James earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from The Evidence In Motion Institute of Health Professions with focus on Manual Therapy. He has a particular interest in orthopedic and sports related injuries. Having years of experience working with various types of patients from pediatrics, orthopedics, neurological, geriatrics, and sports related injuries, he understands how important it is to get his patients back to where they need to be.

Sandy Canout, PT, OT, CHT
Owner
Sandy graduated from Loma Linda University in 1976 with her degree in Occupational Therapy and went on the work in pediatrics and geriatric rehab, as well as developing multiple substance abuse OT programs throughout Orange County. She then graduated from Loma Linda University Physical Therapy program in 1984 and went on to pursue her interest in orthopedics, industrial medicine and sports medicine while achieving her CSCS (strength and conditioning specialist certification) after which she went on to pursue her passion for movement awareness becoming certified as a Feldenkrais practitioner and later pursue an interest in hand therapy becoming certified in 2000.

James Larsien, PT
James joined Wilshire Center Physical Therapy & Sports Rehabilitation in 2016. He graduated from the University of Connecticut in 1995 and has practiced in outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine since then. He enjoys treating all types of patients from weekend warriors to professional athletes. James has a special interest in gait/movement analysis and has done extensive work with runners and golfers.

Sarah Canout, COTA
Sarah graduated from CBD college COTA program in 2019 and passed her licensing exam with the National Board for Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in 2020. She joined the team at Wilshire Center Physical Therapy & Sports Rehabilitation in 2021 as a COTA, having previously worked with the team as a PT aide and then tech for over 10+ years. She has always been interested in pursuing a career in the medical profession considering nursing, PTA and deciding on OTA. Her passion is helping others.

Nadine Valerio, PTLA
Nadine earned her Physical Therapy degree from De La Salle Health Sciences Institute in 2014 and has since gained valuable experience working as a PT in sports medicine and orthopedic clinics. Nadine is passionate about helping patients recover and improve their quality of life through physical therapy. She takes pride in her ability to connect with patients and tailor treatment plans to meet their individual needs. Additionally, she is bilingual, speaking fluent Filipino and English, which allows her to effectively communicate with a diverse range of patients.
